Song of the Week: Paul Webster – Time

Tomorrow is the moment we have all been waiting for. The release on Captivating Sounds of Paul Webster’s new massive track called Time. It’s a collaboration with a great underrated vocalist called Amanda Angelic. The release date is set for 02.11.09 (tomorrow), but i can’t wait another week to write about this beauty.

The pack will come with an Original Mix and a Sean Tyas Remix (also containing the Dub’s, totally unnecessary here) and it will be out tomorrow on beatport.

The Original Mix is composed in the Paul Webster’s unique style with a bit of tech and a bit of hard trance. The build-up is pretty damn aggresive and the breakdown contains the vocals from Amanda. Now, the qlimax is the strong part of the song. With a strong and energic qlimax composed from a combination of tech and hard trance samples and sounds you can’t go wrong. If you tend to make good trance and not that commercial cheesse trance, you can’t go wrong. Paul didn’t go wrong this time either.

The Sean Tyas Remix is so good. More people tend to like the Dub Remix (because DJ’s like AvB overplayed it in ASOT), but I tend to like the vocal remix. Sean’s remix is something different from the stuff he currently produces. The remix contains uplifting elements and hard elements. The qlimax is build on uplifting but it is more aggressive then usual and that’s a strong point. It’s something different and Tyas managed to come up to the challenge. He made a remix adding his own style, but still keeping Paul’s elements.

Paul Webster totally made a breakthrough in the trance scene making a name for himself. With releases like Istanbul, The Wolf or Vibrations, he pierced the Hard Trance scene and took it by surprise. We are waiting for more beautiful and energic stuff like these productions.
