Events: Trance Energy 2010 Announced

Definition:

Trance Energy is a Dutch dance event featuring trance DJs. It is organised by ID&T and has been held from 1999 to the present day in various venues in the Netherlands twice a year. Traditionally, there was a “small edition* and a big edition each year. In 2002, the small edition failed to sell out its 20,000-person ticket capacity (only 15,000 tickets were sold) and thereafter, Trance Energy was only held once annually, at the Jaarbeurs Arena convention center in Utrecht, Netherlands where it has since been sold out each year.

Description of the Event:

This year Trance Energy featured 4 Stages:

  • The Mainstage: Where all the big-shots are playing their trance tunes. In 2009 at the 10th anniversary of Trance Energy, the main DJ where: Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and Marcel Woods. The night started with Tydi & John O’Callaghan and finished with Fausto, after a 1 h 30 set by Marcel Woods.
  • The Future Stage: At this stage played Re-Ward, Cliff Coenraad, Marcus Schössow, First State, Fila, Ali Wilson & Simon Patterson. They are in terms of trance, the future of trance. This is the smallest stage in the whole venue.
  • The High Contrast Stage: At this stage are playing only the tech and progressive DJs in the industry such as: Judge Jules, Wippenberg, Rank1, Danjo, Joop, Jochen Miller or Artento Divini. It’s situated right next to the Classics Stage.
  • The Classic Stage: As the name tells us, The Classic Stage only accepts DJ with a past and a future in this industry. Only those DJs who made a difference in the early stages of trance play here, DJs such as: Johan Gielen, Spider Willem, Bas & Ram, Scot Project, Yves Deruyter or Talla 2 XLC. All of these DJs tend to play Hard Trance or Tech Trance, with this exception: only classic tunes (not higher then 2004).

Trance Energy 2010:

Some people think it’s a bit to early to announce the biggest indoor Trance event in the world, but the ID&T crew didn’t have the same oppinion.

Trance Energy 2010 will be held on 3 april 2010, in the usual Jaarberus Venue, in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Usually the event is sold out, so you need to get you’re tickets in advanced (30.000 people attend it every year).

You also have to know, that is a tolerance zero policy, regarding all kind of drugs, so don’t try anything stupid, like bringing drugs in or you’ll wind up arrested instead of tranced.
